Dagenham & Redbridge boss Daryl McMahon was pleased to see his side pick up a National League point against Boreham Wood on Tuesday.
Zak Brunt put the visitors in front early in the second half, but Myles Weston levelled soon after coming off the substitutes bench.
And McMahon felt a draw was deserved for his injury-hit squad, following their 2-0 loss at FC Halifax Town on Saturday.
"I think it was a really good game between two good teams on the night," he told the club website.
"We knew it was going to be a tough game against Boreham Wood, they've been in really good form, we knew we'd have to be very good with the ball in terms of bringing it out from the back and I thought we did that really well.
"It's been difficult for, not only the staff, but the players when you keep losing one of your teammates every other week. It can be demoralising.
"You look at the group we've got out as a really strong group and players we feel if they're all available we'd be a team competing at the top of the table.
"But we've still got some really good players left and it's about them believing in themselves and performing like they did tonight will give them great belief in how good they can be."
Recent loan signings Tyreke Johnson and Sam Smart made their home debuts for Daggers and impressed McMahon before making way for Omar Mussa and Weston midway through the second half.
"I thought they were both excellent. Both worked really hard," he added.
"They were a threat going in behind Boreham Wood and particularly for Smart, he's only had one training session and did really well.
"I thought Ty got some great crosses in. We've got to get used to them crosses he puts in and it's something we will look at going into Saturday.
"Mussa showed the moments of quality he has got, now he has just got to get in and start doing that for longer than 15-20 minutes. That's his goal now, to become the player we know he can be. He's got to sustain that over a longer period.
"With Myles, delighted for him to get a goal and get off the mark in terms of the league. We know the quality Westy has got and it was good for Westy to have a rest.
"There's one thing I'll say for us this season, we've had to use him a lot more than we really wanted to be honest."
Daggers now turn their attention to a home game against Wealdstone on Saturday, with McMahon expecting another battle against their fellow Londoners.
"They're having a good season. I know they got beat [6-1] tonight by Notts County who, from what I've seen so far this season, have been by far the best team I've seen.
"We know Wealdstone play good football. They've been playing 3-4-3 or 3-5-2 all season, I think Stu [Maynard] has done a good job there so we know it's going to be another tough game and we've got to bring the same intensity and quality again."
