A road was closed and a driver taken to hospital after a crash in Ilford earlier today.
Barley Lane was closed in both directions near King George Hospital - between Langham Drive and Heathfield Park Drive - after a car crashed into a lamppost just before 4pm this afternoon (September 23).
Emergency services were called to the scene, however the Met Police has confirmed that there were "no serious injuries".
A Met Police spokesperson said the driver of the car was taken to hospital "as a precaution", but there were no arrests.

Barley Lane remained closed until around 7pm, causing heavy traffic onto the junction with A12 Eastern Avenue, according to AA Maps.
The EL3 bus route was on diversion both ways between Goodmayes Station and Little Heath due to the collision blocking Barley Lane.
However, the final stop of the route, Little Heath, continued to be served.
