A new fish and chip shop has opened in Ilford this weekend.
Mother Hubbard's has welcomed customers through its doors after opening a new London franchise in Ilford Lane at 12am on September 21.
The fish and chip shop company's roots go back to May 1972 in Bradford, when Coronation Street favourites Stan and Hilda Ogden opened the first store.
At the time, a portion of fish and chips would set you back just 45p.
The company expanded its horizons to London in October 2021, where it opened a store in Barking Road, East Ham.

According to Mother Hubbard's, it "has been a success since".
In celebration of the Ilford opening, customers will be able to get 50 per cent off the entire menu on the opening weekend.
The store has been decked out with fish and chip-themed touches, with newspaper wallpaper and historic photos along the walls.
