A man has been charged on suspicion of assault on a emergency worker after a police officer was reportedly punched on a street.
Police attended Cranbrook Road in Ilford at about 4.23pm on Sunday (August 25) after the force received information about a drug deal.
A man in his 20s was subsequently arrested on suspicion of drugs offences.
However, in this time, a police officer was reportedly punched, leading to the arrest of another man on suspicion of assault on an emergency worker.

This man has been charged in connection with the assault.
The man in his 20s was taken into custody that day and subsequently bailed.
"Enquiries are ongoing," a Metropolitan Police spokesperson added.
