Two people are in hospital following a house fire in Ilford this morning.
The London Fire Brigade was called at 10.13am today (July 26) with reports of a house fire.
Around 40 firefighters from stations across Ilford, Stratford, East Ham and Hainault were dispatched to the scene in Northbrook Road.
Ten people had managed to escape the home safely before the arrival of the emergency services, but two people have since been taken to hospital.
In total, the brigade's emergency 999 control centre took 11 calls reporting the fire.

According to the London Fire Brigade, the blaze was under control by 11.50am.
Crews are expected to stay on site throughout the day.
The cause of the fire is under investigation.
The London Ambulance Service has been contacted for a comment.
