A 19-year-old man has been taken to hospital after a stabbing in Ilford.
The incident happened in High Street, Barkingside just after 4.35pm today (June 24).
Officers and London Ambulance Service crews attended and found a man injured.
He was taken to hospital for treatment where his condition is currently unknown.
It is believed that the victim was reportedly assaulted on board a route 169 bus.
No arrests have been made as police enquiries into the circumstances continue.
A spokesperson for Metropolitan Police said: “Police were called by the London Ambulance Service at 16:37hrs on Monday, 24 June to reports of a man stabbed on High Street in Barkingside.
“Officers attended. The 19-year-old has been taken to hospital for treatment. We await an update on his condition.
“The victim is believed to have been assaulted on board a Route 169 bus.
“A crime scene is in place.
“There have been no arrests and enquiries continue.
“Anyone with information is asked to call police via 101 quoting reference CAD 5766/24Jun.”
