Pictures from the scene of a major police incident in Hainault have emerged. 

The photos taken this morning (April 30), show Metropolitan Police vehicles blocking access to Hainault station in New North Road. 

A police helicopter has been seen hovering over the area which has been closed off to the public by police since around 7am.

A man with a sword has been arrested after attacking people, including two police officers.

New North Road has been closed in both directions whilst the incident is dealt with. 

Buses are running to an amended service whilst surrounding roads remain affected.
