A police stop and search in Barking has led to the recovery of weapons and drugs from a residential address in Seven Kings.
Officers from the Barking Town Centre policing team stopped and searched a man suspected of drug offences on February 28, acting on intelligence from local community support officers.
Their search turned up images of a gun and ammunition, which was later recovered by police after they searched the man's address in Elgin Road, Ilford.
They seized bladed weapons and suspected Class A drugs alongside the gun and ammunition.
The man in his 30s was then arrested on suspicion of being in possession of a firearm and ammunition, and possession of Class A drugs with intent to supply.
