Emergency services had to shut a dual carriageway after a fire close to a hospital.
The southbound carriageway of the A12 near King George Hospital was closed off to traffic for around an hour earlier today (January 20) while firefighters responded to the incident.
Police cars and officers could be seen blocking the road at the junction with Barley Lane at around 12.30pm.
A Met spokesperson confirmed that London Fire Brigade (LFB) was dealing with a fire towards the junction with Aldborough Road South.
The road was re-opened at around 1.30pm, and congestion quickly eased in the area.
LFB has been contacted for more information about the incident and this story will be updated with any response.
