A woman has been arrested after a stabbing in Barkingside that saw a man taken to a major trauma centre.
It comes as a Facebook user reported seeing emergency services in Craven Gardens on Sunday night (November 26).
The social media user said: "Does anyone know what’s happened down craven gardens? Police are at both ends of the road and multiple ambulances?"
A spokesperson for the Met Police said: "Police were called by London Ambulance Service at 18:39hrs on 26 November to Craven Gardens, Ilford, following reports of a stabbing.
"A 39-year-old man was found with a stab injury; he was taken to hospital, where his condition was assessed as not life-threatening.
"A 30-year-old woman was arrested on suspicion of GBH. She remains in custody at this time."
Both individuals are believed to be known to each other, according to the Met, and enquiries continue.
A London Ambulance Service spokesperson said: “We were called yesterday (26 November) at 6:38pm to reports of an incident in Craven Gardens, Barkingside.
“We sent a number of resources to the scene, including an ambulance crew and a medic in a fast-response car.
“We treated a man at the scene before taking him to a major trauma centre.”
