Redbridge Council has opened a new facility in Ilford providing services to the community.
The new engagement hub has been opened in Jubilee Gardens, Ilford Lane - an area that is "plagued by antisocial behaviour", according to the council.
The authority says people will have easier access to services provided by police, healthcare and council services.
Through the hub, people can access anti-poverty team sessions, information for parents and families, advice support services for children with special educational needs and disabilities and the Met Police's safer neighbourhoods teams.
The hub is expected to be open at least 40 hours a week, with most open hours in the working week.
However, the service will be open on some evenings and on weekends at times to accommodate the shift patterns of the Met Police, the council said.
