A man from Ilford has been convicted of stalking a woman after he repeatedly turned up at her house, played loud music and banged on her door.
Robert Butcher, 33, of Richmond Road, was found guilty of stalking and assaulting the woman in April this year.
Barkingside Magistrates’ Court heard that between April 6 and April 30, he attempted to contact the woman via numerous messages and calls.
On a number of occasions he also attended her address, parked nearby and sometimes played loud music and banged on her door, the court heard.
The assault of the woman took place on April 7.
On October 26 Butcher was sentenced to 12 weeks in prison, suspended for one year.
A restraining order preventing him from contacting the woman was also issued.
