Take a look inside a major makeover to a pub as it celebrates its 90th anniversary since launching.
The Old Maypole pub on Fencepiece Road, Ilford, went through a four-week refurbishment and has now reopened under its new look.
Just in time for its birthday since opening in 1933, the watering hole now has a refreshed bar, new soft furnishings and a new dining area.
Sizzling Pubs, which operates 200 pubs across the UK, describes the transformation as a “new lease of life” and it has introduced a new food menu for customers to look forward to.
General manager Antonio Moncho said: “We’re thrilled to reveal the Old Maypole’s new look to our guests.
“Whether you’re looking for a family meal out or somewhere to enjoy the sport with a pint, our pub is ready to welcome guests, both new and old, to enjoy our brand-new look — but with the same sizzle its always had.”
