A man has died following a blaze at a flat in Redbridge.
The fire took place yesterday (Monday, May 15) afternoon in Chigwell Road, Woodford Green.
It occurred in a mixed-use, two-storey building, according to London Fire Brigade.

Most of a flat on the first floor of the building was damaged by fire.
One man left the building before the brigade arrived and a further man was pronounced dead at the scene.

The brigade was called at 2.19pm and the fire was under control for firefighters by 2.50pm.
Fire crews from Woodford, Walthamstow and Hainault fire stations attended the scene.
The cause of the fire is under investigation by the brigade and the Metropolitan Police.
