Essex Senior League: Sporting Bengal United 5 Redbridge 1
Sporting Bengal United extened their unbeaten run in the Essex Senior League to five matches with a 5-1 victory at home to Redbridge.
Kamarl Duncan headed United ahead early on when connecting with a ball from Steve Carvell.
Bengal’s lead did not last long, though, as Redbridge were able to equalise through Calvin Poku.
However, a Bobby Redwood brace for Sporting saw them hold a 3-1 advantage at half time.
Jay Knight then added a fourth for Bengal early in the second half, with Carvell providing his second assist of the night.
Codey Cameron then sealed the win for United when latching on to a through ball from Jack Lamb-Wilson to score the final goal of the game.
Sporting will bid to make it six games unbeaten in the league when they entertain Clapton on Friday.
Redbridge, meanwhile, will be looking for a response at home to St Margaretsbury on Saturday.
